When we at Perfect Golf Vacations travel to Asheville, North Carolina for business and pleasure, our favorite place to stay is the downtown area. Downtown is full of restaurants, bars, art galleries, shopping and much more all just a short walk from most hotels.

While this area provides many entertainment and dining options within walking distance to most downtown Asheville accommodations, the room rates are not as accommodating on your wallet.

You will definitely pay more for downtown Asheville hotels than you would for most other lodging options. Is it worth it? We think so.

In fact on our last trip to the area, we stayed at the Renaissance in downtown Asheville. While we do not offer this hotel as an option for golf packages in Asheville, North Carolina, we would still recommend the Renaissance (as long as you can overlook a few customer service issues) as a downtown lodging option. We'll be posting our review on this hotel soon.
