When the slots stopped spinning and the dice quit rolling at The Legendary Stardust Resort and Casino, a big chapter of "old-time Las Vegas" closed along with it.

The Stardust was often a favorite cheap discount Las Vegas hotel for golfers and other visitors to "Sin City."

But it was not just a place to stay if you wanted to save money on your gambling or golf vacation.

This casino hotel was an icon, an innovator among Las Vegas casino hotels and a place many folks called home away from home

I was lucky enough to be in town for the last days of the Stardust and it was evident when I visited the hotel the day before it closed that this legendary Las Vegas casino hotel will be missed by many locals and tourists alike.

And even though you can no longer enjoy the tasteful tackiness of the Stardust Hotel Las Vegas on your next golf vacation, hopefully like myself you have a few memories that even the worst roll of the dice will never take away.

Because this hotel was home to so much history and was indeed "Legendary," we at Perfect Golf Vacations decided to give you a list of a few of the Stardust's highlights.
